Reporting to the CTO, the Head of IT Operations is responsible for driving a client centric Engineering operations service to maximise service availability, service quality, security and performance. The role requires an innovative approach to leverage Service Management best practices to deliver value to the business as well as strong customer focus to deliver an exceptional end user experience.
With strong Cloud Enterprise Architecture focus you will ensure strategic and operational infrastructure requirements are planned and delivered for complex projects that deliver solutions which are used by millions of people.
This role is client facing at C-Level, highly involved in the tendering process and is the Subject Matter Technical Lead for Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure, utilising the latest industry standards and techniques to build robust, secure and innovative client solutions.
This role is an integral member of a dynamic executive team and requires a unique individual, someone who is technically adept, commercial and operationally focused, with a strong overarching vision for creating exceptional customer experiences. A hands-on, strategist able to facilitate the growth of the business, within a clear strategic vision and goal in mind.

To be successful in this role you must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of IT infrastructure, system analysis and enterprise architecture, with specific knowledge of Microsoft AZURE infrastructure. Extensive Microsoft Azure skills in Site Recovery Services, Cosmos, SQL Db, elastic scaling, cloud services and IAAS.
Along with this, you will have extensive knowledge of Infrastructure Full Stack – including IT Security, BI reporting, web technologies, Software applications, networks/servers, desktop hardware/software support, systems development and support, database management, automation and scripting, orchestration, disaster recovery, business continuity and communications tools to meet operational and strategic objectives.
You’ll have had previous experience of driving compliance certification throughout the business inclusive of ISM2017 and ISO27001, as well as effectively managing information security vulnerabilities and risk management, including ensuring strong understanding of business process development and governance processes.
