The team

Our Assessment team works with our clients to centralise and streamline their entire assessment delivery experience, and take their online assessment to the next level.

The role

To support and drive our growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager, based in central London in a standalone role. Reporting directly to the Sydney-based Head of Assessment, the Business Development Manager will be one of our first hires based in the UK market, responsible for building new revenue and generating relationships with target clients in key industry sectors.

Other duties include:

  • Independently identify, qualify and close new opportunities.
  • Lead meetings and presentations with key decision-makers within target companies
  • Drive sales by opening new commercial relationships, engaging with multiple stakeholders as part of the sales process; tendering, presenting, delivering demos and closing the deal in a way that supports future account growth
  • Work with strategic and regional partners to establish mutual business relationships
  • Work within established guidelines to ensure that profit objectives are met
  • Lead final contract negotiations with customers
  • Prepare regular and accurate forecasts of sales opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and industry knowledge to customers/prospects, and maintain an appropriate corporate presence in industry-related public conferences and trade shows

About you

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in a leading e-learning/talent vendor either at a content editor, an LMS or Talent software vendor or in e-learning services, operating for large accounts You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in the e-learning and/or HR industry, ideally with an existing portfolio of clients
  • 5+ years sales experience in either the HR training and consulting arena, business consulting or enterprise solution sales. Familiarity with software platforms and SaaS products
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the current business challenges companies face within the target segments.
  • Mature, professional attitude with business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Results focussed with a desire to play a key role in taking Janison through the next growth phase
  • Ability to work autonomously as one of the first hires in this region
