As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we want you to know about our contingency plans which ensure Janison’s ongoing resilience and capacity to provide you with uninterrupted service.
We’re fully equipped, trained and prepared to support your team, learners and assessment candidates, 24/7. Here’s how.
We’re a dispersed organisation
Janison is a well-resourced team of technology project experts numbering more than 110. Our people are adept at working remotely across multiple offices, time zones and geographical boundaries. Our essential operations staff are split across three key offices – Coffs Harbour, the Philippines and Singapore – which disperses risk and allows for our business continuity plan (BCP) to be triggered in one or more offices.
In the case of employee absence, managers assign and reassign activities using a ticketing system to staff on a case by case basis. Each leader and manager has a deputy with the expertise to fully take over your project if necessary.
Our people already thrive on remote working
We work from more than eight office locations around the world, with many of our other interstate and international staff working remotely from their homes. We’re proud to have led the way for years in remote working practices, running our meetings, high-stakes client training sessions and large-scale demonstrations via online video conferencing.
…and so does our infrastructure
All Janison’s business tools and file storage are cloud-based and/or accessible via VPN networks designed for remote working. Should we need to shut down our offices and all work from home, our core team is equipped with the tools required so that critical operations can continue, no matter where we are. Our IT infrastructure is able to support any heavy increase in remote work and manage any added load to client-facing or service delivery technology that may occur.
Our products are free of physical limitations
The very genesis of Janison was to create a platform that enables us to provide content, education and technology services remotely and at scale. Our products live entirely in the cloud, which means they’re immune to physical limits and can run autonomously. They’re specifically designed to remotely serve our clients and partners, in more than 100 countries around the world.
We’re well-versed in risk management
Our people are highly experienced in delivering high-stakes education and exam events at scale, often under intense political pressure and the watchful eye of national governments and media. We’re used to mitigating risk and anticipating and resolving issues before they happen. It’s what we do – we’ve been doing it for 20 years and we will continue to do it safely and smoothly for all your services throughout this crisis.
Our existing office and company BCP communications plans have been updated to account for any local or country-wide government quarantine emergencies.
We’re also closely monitoring the BCPs across all organisations and vendors in our supply chain.
Our staff are well supported and informed
Our People & Culture team are working hard to keep all our staff up to date about any developments on the pandemic. We’re regularly communicating with our team via email and we have a dedicated discussion thread set up on Microsoft Teams, to which all staff have access, no matter where they’re located.
We’re taking good care of ourselves – so that we can take good care of you
We take our commitment to be at our best for our clients seriously. That’s why we’ve got several measures in place to ensure safety and wellbeing across our team.
We’re running an interim business travel ban policy to countries classed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as “high-risk” and “risky” and staff have been told to self-quarantine if they have had any contact with business associates from these countries. We’re also following the WHO pandemic infection control guidelines across all our offices.
We’re practicing and encouraging preventative hygiene, including regular hand sanitising. Any staff member who has even the slightest indication of having a cold is being asked to either stay home or work from home – including if they feel unwell but well enough to work.
If any of our team are feeling anxious about travelling in to work, particularly on public transport, or about any activities in the office, we’ve made it clear that we’re happy for them to work from home.
We’re here for you
Janison is all set to continue to support you in delivering your education and assessment. Should you have any concerns or questions specific to your team or project, please do not hesitate to contact me on [email protected].
We’re here to help you meet any challenge throughout this difficult time and beyond.
Best,
Tom Richardson
